Workplace conditions have evolved over the past few decades. Creating a women’s mentorship programme in an organisation not only provides every female employee with the opportunity to offer or accept guidance but is also one of the strategies that can close the gender gap in leadership around the world.

In the below video, Carina Bauer, CEO of IMEX Group, brings to the forefront some of the specifics of women mentorship and why it is so important.

She shares how she finds a balance between confidentiality and empowerment when mentoring someone inside or outside of the same organisation, the potential pressures of mentoring and how to overcome it.

Bauer also explains ‘She Means Business’, a joint event launched in 2017 by IMEX and tw magazine, and supported by MPI. She elaborates on the agenda, the types of speakers, panels and topics that industry professionals have come to expect, and how to access discussions on She Means Business through PlanetIMEX.
