What is food without a story? What is dining if it is not an experience? Event planners are often finding new ways to accommodate attendees who want to experience — and taste — the “real” destination.

In this episode of BEAM FORWARD, Indra Iswaran invites us to her home in Singapore, where she showcases a five-course dining experience inspired by this region’s history and her family’s legacy. Iswaran wears many hats. She is an author and the Artistic Culinary Creative Director, Signature Chef and host at her home, which she calls Lavindra Retreat.

One of the treats she dishes is the Popiah Goreng with Chicken, Prawns and Basil Leaf, inspired by the FMS bar founded in 1906 in Ipoh, Malaysia. Catch the story in the video below as we bring you on a culinary journey that is few and dwindling.
